We sell furniture right off of our floor for quick (in some cases) same day delivery or we can customize your furniture with special orders to get exactly what you want. In fact, over 80% of our upholstery business are in special orders. Our knowledgeable sales staff will walk you through all of the steps to make sure every step goes smoothly.

Our building, originally built in 1913 as the Belmont Hotel, has 5 floors of furniture. In fact, our top two floors are still set up as individual “room-like” settings to give a better representation of what a vignette might look in your home.
We have strong ties to the furniture industry in regards to both our building and our family. Our building, located in beautiful downtown Great Falls, has a rich history of furniture as Ferrins is actually the 3rd furniture store to occupy the building after it became a hotel. Our family has been in the furniture business for over 119 years and 5 generations. This ensures peace of mind that you will receive professional, individualized help when shopping for furniture needs.

John J. Ferrin founded Ferrin’s Furniture in Red Wing, Minnesota in 1899. A native of Jamestown, New York, Mr. Ferrin was a cabinet maker and finishing foreman for many Chicago public building Interior design firms. He moved to Red Wing in 1889 as finishing foreman for Red Wing Furniture Manufacturing Company.

In 1906, Frank J. Ferrin, Sr. joined his father. The business expanded and the Ferrins purchased two additional buildings.

In 1937, after graduating from Interior design in Chicago, Frank Ferrin’s son Joe joined the firm.

In 1952 Joe’s brother Frank Ferrin, Jr. graduated from Notre Dame and became a partner. The company expanded again by buying another adjoining building.

In the 1980’s Frank’s children Anne, Bill and John Ferrin came into the business becoming the 4th generation of Ferrins to run the business.

In 1997 Bill Ferrin moved to Great Falls, Montana purchasing what was “Wood World” and starting his own store. Bills two sons, Andy and T.J. Ferrin work with Bill and will become the 5th generation to run the business.
